The Sonic Gear Ego7 is a decent set of speakers for the casual desktop computer. They're compact and won't take up a lot of space on your desk which is good thing considering you're going to have top pop these babies on your table to get access to the volumn control. It has a hypnotic glowing blue screen that doesn't change nor tell you anything other than this is a "Sonic Gear Ego 7 Multimeida Speaker System". Gee, thanks. We would've never worked that out outselves. You'd have thought that they'd at least include a volume indicator onscreen, but alas no -it remains a glorified label. For all these faults though, we have to concede that the Ego7 delivers quality sound. Mid-range performance is decent and bass is pretty flawless. The Ego7 looks great. Its slick, black gloss exrerior and glowing blue lights, though nothing new, are easy on the eye and are sure to add a little sex appeal to even the most modest rig.
